A lifelong artist, photographer and creative thinker, Tom Namey began his digital media career in college. Upon graduation, he had garnered an international client base and achieved the university's Academic Award of Achievement in Art, Photography and Digital Media. Since then, Tom has overseen the creative growth of Namey Design Studios from its humble dorm room beginnings to a leadership position in cutting edge visual design.
Experience was gained in the various departments he explored and contributed to at CNN headquarters in Atlanta, as well as through a special internship with one of the Southwest's largest and most decorated creative agencies—Adcetera—in Houston, TX. Additionally, at the age of 22, Tom was given the title of Executive Producer and Editor of Digital Media at Oglethorpe University, his alma mater, and eventually earned the respect and business from other colleges, universities and government agencies across the Southeast.
Since 1998, Tom has taken the lead on all projects for Namey Design Studios. Select clients include MARTA, Emory University, Rogers Petroleum, Buckingham® Slate, Ole Smoky® Tennessee Moonshine, The Chop House®, Moe's® Southwest Grill, R.L. Goins, and many others. He has also branded/marketed leading architects, artists and designers across the USA—a testament to his creative vision.
Tom is married and father of three. When he's not with clients in Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta, Asheville, and Charleston, you'll find him active in the community. He is a member of three community and education boards, and also dontates his time and services to local, regional and national charitable groups. Tom has presented on various digital topics to businesses and organizations across the region, including a guest lecture for the University of Tennessee MBA program. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communications & Digital Media.
